‘350 Migrants’ from CONGO Arrive in San Antonio, ‘French Speakers Needed’

by Brian Hayes

Hundreds of migrants from the Congo entered San Antonio last week after crossing the US-Mexico border; sparking new demands for French translators as the immigrants speak neither English nor Spanish.

“Roughly 350 migrants from the Congo are expected to arrive in San Antonio in the coming days leaving the city scrambling for French-speaking volunteers,” reports CBS San Antonio.

“When we called Border Patrol to confirm, they said, ‘yea another 200 to 300 from the Congo and Angola will be coming to San Antonio,’” said Interim Assistant City Manager Collen Bridger.

Hundreds of migrants from Central African nations -including the Congo and Angola- have crossed the US-Mexico border in previous days; with experts saying the immigrants are entering Brazil before making their way towards the United States.

“More than 500 migrants from African nations — including Angola, Cameroon and the Republic of Congo — have been apprehended in Texas, at the Del Rio Border Patrol sector of the U.S.-Mexico border, since May 30, according to US Customs and Border Protection,” reports Fox News.

A single group of 116 migrants were apprehended at one time after crossing the Rio Grande into the United States.

According to federal agents, the immigrants’ inability to speak English or Spanish is creating “additional burdens on processing stations.”

“It remained unclear what route the African migrants had taken to arrive to the U.S.-Mexico border. Some Africans recently told NPR they traveled from Africa to Brazil and then north though Colombia and Central America,” adds Fox.

“BREAKING: City confirms hundreds of migrants from the Congo have arrived in SA. The city is in desperate need for French speaking volunteers,” posted a local news reporter from San Antonio.

“U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Del Rio Station apprehended a large group of 116 individuals Thursday,” stated a press release from the Border and Customs Protection Agency.

“Large groups present a unique challenge for the men and women of the Del Rio Sector,” said Chief Raul Ortiz. “This large group from Africa further demonstrates the complexity and severity of the border security and humanitarian crisis at our Southwest border.”

“This is the first large group apprehended in the Del Rio Sector and the first large group of people from Africa – including nationals from Angola, Cameroon and Congo – apprehended on the Southwest border this year,” adds the statement.

The arrests come as more and more top-tier Democrats admit a public “crisis at the border” after months of denying the President’s national emergency declaration.

  1. Pack them up and send them back we don’t need the diseases they and the others bring and that’s just for starters. I want my tax dollars spent on US citizen s and legal migrants only. For God’s sake people.
